BIKER LIFESTYLE NETWORK

Gone are the days where only guys owned and rode motorcycles. Every year at the events it seems that the girls driving motorcycles are increasing in numbers. The women have always been going to these events but usually the guys drove the bikes. That is not the case anymore.

In today's modern age we are seeing more and more motorcycle events with women motorcycle drivers. Perhaps this is just another way that girls are stepping up to support their equal rights or perhaps they just are supporting their rights to drive and own a motorcycle. Either way this does not seem to be an issue with the male bikers.

There are motorcycle events in most all of the fifty states and it seems that everywhere you go you can see a motorcycle. With the cost of gas many more people are driving their bikes to work and for pleasure. You know what they say; any day on a bike is a good day.

Most of these motorcycle events are held rain or shine and bikers from all walks of life show up to have fun and even support a charity cause. Today they have bike runs for charity. The way it works is the rider pays an entrance fee to be able to ride and show off his or her bike. That fee goes to the charity. Bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts love these bike runs and show up by the thousands just to support the cause.

Bikers and non bikers alike go to these events and enjoy music, food, fun and motorcycles. IF you ever get the opportunity to join in the fun you should do so right away regardless of if you have a bike or not. These events are fun for everyone and the bikers are fun to be around too. So, what are you waiting for? Attend an event today while it is fresh in your mind. You will be happy that you did.

Good job, nice density.

The more Women that ride the better. When working as a commercial pilot I found that Women have great Finess so they make good pilots a women can do anything a Man can within reason. Ride on Ladys!

I like how you think! :)

Can't we all just get along..........?  :) :) :)

Sorry, I meant to delete that....not post it!

WHY did you delete UR post.....???? I LIKED it!! :)

Sindee - I deleted it because I didn't really intend to post it. I wrote it knee kick style w/o much thought other than my own perspective. People go to events for a variety of reasons. Who am I to say what those reasons are? Females ride for various reasons too.  If someone wants to think that females ride m/cs as their way of stepping up for equal rights who am I to tell them different? It certainly wasn't my reason when I started and it's not the reason why I continue. I don't ride my bike at a charity event to show off my bike or me either. Could be someone else's reason but its certainly not mine.  :)

Most everything I post out here is "knee kick" style! LOL! :)

ok, ok, ok...it probably should have been 'knee jerk' rather than 'knee kick' but since it's me, extremely vertically challenged, knee kick works. :)

Two issues here, women riding and non bikers attending rallies.
First off, I like to see women with their own rides. I know there's some club politics about that, but I can never see the problem. If you can ride your own bike and you want to, there's no reason you shouldn't.

Non bikers...I hate going to a rally and seeing these idiots turning up in their cars.
Either get a bike or get lost.
Lots of clubs in the UK only allow cars to rallies if they have a disabled badge. That's how it should be. When you get more "straights" in a rally, you get more thieving. I've never even locked my bike at a proper rally, but I've heard stories about people being utter knobs at rallies and they're nearly always people with cars. In my view, if you didn't ride to the rally, they shouldn't let you in.

That's the UK though.

Women Riders - the thing is, in my humble opinion, no one should be looking at female m/c riders and saying anything about it. Female riders are no different from any other rider. And I mean, any other rider. I don't care whose club you belong to, whose group, chapter, whatever. I ride because I ride. I ride better than most. If that comes across as a chip on my shoulder too bad.

Non bikers & rally - we welcome cagers (people who drive cars) to charity events. They don't drive on the run. They go to where the ride concludes. They pay an event fee like everyone else. Or, they can just pay for the meal. Raffle tickets are usually $1 each. All the money goes to the charity. So, here in my area, we welcome cagers to charity events. A bike rally is something different entirely. :)

Hmm, its hard to get your point across sometimes without sounding condescending, I wasn't trying to make a judgement on female riders. It really ain't my business, even though I think its a positive thing. as for the way clubs see it, well, if you join a club, you follow their rules.
For myself, I love to ride and hang out with others who share the addiction.

Charity bashes, I get ya. Still don't like sharing my days off with a load of cagers though. I'd rather be where the ride is.
