Brotherhood of Bikers Pay Tribute In Chicago

I read an article earlier that reminded me how great it is to be a part of the brotherhood of bikers. It was also a reminder of how cool it is to be part of this site! At some point this site will explode with members. Right now I am happy to know I was here from the beginning.... :)

The article was about how bikers from across the country rode to Chicago to participate in the "Ride to Remember" in Chicago. It's a Chicago Police Department fund-raiser to benefit families of…

7 Poison Darts

I have an idea. I've thought about this for years, however, in light of several close calls recently AND the stupidity of most people on the road in general I decided it would be a good time to table it again...

7 poison darts. That's all it would take. Each of us would be issued 7 poison darts when we receive our initial drivers license. Not sure what the age requirement is any longer..... 16? 17? Who knows, who cares. Each person receives 7 poison darts to use as they see fit.…

The Time has come

It amazes me how certain industries stand in the way of us getting our deficit

down by preventing us from tapping into a readymade tax base. In the late 30’s

it was the timber, textiles, alcohol and tobacco industries today it is the

pharmaceutical and oil industry that are the main obstacles. Prior to 1939 it

was one of the world’s largest if not the largest legal cash crops, today it is

still one of the largest cash crops; it’s just not legal. The substance has

been…

Michigan's Helmet Law Was Repealed. He Died In A Bike Crash. Who Cares If He Wasn't Wearing A Helmet?

He was riding in a very rural area over the weekend without a helmet since Michigan's helmet law was recently repealed. Living in this area I can attest to getting complacent and "lazy" when riding roads that are not buzzing with traffic. It's easy to lose concentration on your surroundings especially if riding alone. Perhaps this is what happened to this guy, perhaps not.

He slammed into a deer and died on the scene, alone. A motorist found him and the wounded…

Mississippi Backroads - Hwy 13

I grew up in the wooded rolling hills of South Central Mississippi, and know my way around a lot of backroads from Jackson to the Gulf Coast. From the time I was a small child, all the way up through my teen years, I traveled the stretch of Hwy 13 that connects Hwy 98 in Columbia, to Hwy 49 between Hattiesburg and Wiggins, MS.

If you come in on the north end, after leaving Columbia you will pass through a small community called Baxterville. There…

Guns

65 million registered gun owners in the United States and zero have killed anybody. It is pitiful what happened in Colorado and I feel for the families involved.

Under the Bush Administration, Operation 'gunwalking' engaged with about 100 guns with gps on them sold through US dealer to Mexican Drug Cartel..to track and to eventually make arrests with Mexico's help. There is an investigation now with the Obama Administration - Erik Holder at the top of the list as administrator of the…

Common Sense is a Thing of the Past....

I maintain a number of different email addresses. Over the weekend I was not able to access one of them and I wasn't sure why. I emailed tech support twice asking for an explanation. I included in that email a request that any response be sent to a different email address, NOT the one I was not able to access....... Made sense to me. How could I access any tech support emails that were sent to an address…
