I maintain a number of different email addresses. Over the weekend I was not able to access one of them and I wasn't sure why. I emailed tech support twice asking for an explanation. I included in that email a request that any response be sent to a different email address, NOT the one I was not able to access....... Made sense to me. How could I access any tech support emails that were sent to an address I could not access in the first place.
Later in the day I figured out why I was not able to access my account. Settings on my system had changed. I made adjustments and was able to access my email.
This morning I received two emails from two different tech support "professionals." INCREDIBLY both were sent to the EMAIL THAT WAS NOT WORKING. NO emails were sent to the alternate email I provided to tech support yesterday! HOW did they expect me to READ the email? These "professionals" must be MINDLESS IDIOTS! If it weren't so frustrating it would be comical. I fired off an email to both people AND another to "customer service." Both people should be reprimanded and realize how lucky they are that they DON'T work for me as they would be fired. They OBVIOUSLY don't "get it!"

You can imagine several scenarios happening..too many calls came in at one time during Justin's shift at tech support was going to be rough. Two other employees called in sick forcing him to 'hold down the fort'...In order to do it all he wrote everything down on post it notes and pasted them all over his computer. He tried to triage everything with importance. He recently broke up with his girlfriend but she kept texting him, explaining why she dumped him and perhaps she was wrong to do so. They rallied back and forth..he was right in the middle of your request when the stickie part of the note dislodged, fell to the floor. He couldn't find it after crawling around on the floor and desperately trying to somehow recover this important piece of information. He cursed but unbeknownst to him, it was stuck under his shoe. After drinking several cups of coffee trying to stay awake after a a hard night of partying, he paid several visits to the bathroom. The stickie note dislodged from his shoe and was swept under the vanity. Justin finished his shift knowing that one of the requests was incomplete but..he had to get to Zunis on 4th St, his girlfriend would be waiting!

Comment by CaseeAnn on July 10, 2012 at 6:50am Damn, those people are flaming idiots. Brandee is correct, what would have happened if you weren't able to fix it yourself!
Comment by LittleSisterWA (AnneH) on July 9, 2012 at 11:56pm ok..so maybe not an excuse, more like a possible explanation of what was behind the lack of common sense. Scanning thru an email can give you the resulting customer service you received. Does your company have a set amount of time a customer request is to be handled? The old adage of 'haste makes waste' didn't come out of nowhere. Again, I am not excusing what happened. Usually there is a reason of why it happened. And then, there is just plain lack of common sense which cannot be fixed at all.
Comment by BranDEE on July 9, 2012 at 5:47pm I'd say its good thing you fixed it on your own.........
Comment by Venus on July 9, 2012 at 5:26pm Mindless idiots is right! Not sure how they expected you to receive the messages.
Comment by BBNX on July 9, 2012 at 5:22pm There is NO excusing this one..... Trying to be expedient is a good thing, PROVIDED quality doesn't suffer.
And I am ALWAYS happy. :) (See, the smiley face doesn't lie!)
Comment by LittleSisterWA (AnneH) on July 9, 2012 at 12:35pm Not to give them an excuse or anything like that, but sometimes when buried under a lot of tasks, an email is not read all the way through. I know I did that a couple of times when I was working but it all worked out in the end. There is a lot of demand for white collar expediency which sometimes results in poor quality service. Glad you got it all worked out! We like our guy happy and not grumpy!!
Comment by Gail on July 9, 2012 at 8:56am Wow. And to think those people likely drive cars, etc. Scary.
